The diagram below represents my synthesis of the third article in the series, The Future of School Reform.  The article, Government, Market, and the Mixed Model of American Education Reform, was written by Terry Moe and Paul Hill.

The authors write,

Choice is characterized by its detractors as a “free market” solution that would “privatize” education.

Their article goes on to frame a model that looks for the center on the spectrum of free-market education at one extreme and government-run  education at the other.
